Hero Guide (Season 6)
What Changes in Season 6
Season 6 brings the biggest hero-progression mechanic since the original Exclusive Weapon system. The headline changes:
- Hero Awakening unlocks for Kimberly (Week 1), DVA (Week 3), and Tesla (Week 6) — the new fourth-skill system that replaces Exclusive Weapons as the season's hero progression mechanic
- Braz SSR→UR Promotion — Season 6's seasonal SSR→UR hero (Week 3-7 promotion window)
- No new Exclusive Weapons this season — the slot is taken by Hero Awakening instead
- Faction warfare reshapes squad selection — Altar capture and City Destruction reward different traits than Season 5's Bank Stronghold loop

Awakening prerequisites — 5★ hero + Exclusive Weapon Lv20+ + 50 named Awakening Shards — make pre-season preparation critical. The EW Lv20+ requirement is the silent killer: players who pushed Kimberly's EW to ~Level 18 in Season 5 thinking it was "good enough" cannot Awaken her in Week 1 of Season 6 without finishing the EW first. If your carry's EW is below 20, that is the #1 priority before anything else this season.
