By Season 5, your primary squad should have full Mythic or near-Mythic gear on your carry heroes. The gear system itself has not changed, but four new Exclusive Weapons reshape gear investment priorities. Most importantly, Fiona's Exclusive Weapon makes Missile gear a higher priority for many players who previously focused exclusively on Tank or Aircraft gear.
Four new Exclusive Weapons mean four heroes whose gear suddenly matters more. Fiona's weapon makes her Gun and Chip the highest-impact Missile gear pieces. Morrison's weapon makes his Gun more valuable for Aircraft squads. Stetmann's weapon reopens the question of whether your Tank secondary DPS gear goes to him or Mason. Gear and weapons are multiplicative — upgrading one without the other leaves power on the table.
