Missile Vehicle Squad Guide (Season 1)
Missiles in Season 1: The Essential Counter
As Aircraft becomes the dominant meta in Season 1, Missile squads become more important than ever. Every alliance needs Missile players to counter the wave of DVA-led Aircraft squads. If you started building Missiles in pre-season, Season 1 is where your investment pays off.
In Season 1, Missile squads go from "nice to have" to "alliance essential." Without Missile players, your alliance has no answer to enemy Aircraft squads in Alliance Wars and SvS. The combat triangle demands coverage.
What Changed from Pre-Season
Aircraft Dominance Creates Missile Demand
- More opponents running Aircraft means more targets for your Missile squad
- Alliance Wars increasingly require Missile players to handle enemy Aircraft wings
- Missile squads become the "hero" squad type in coordinated alliance fights
Fiona's Rising Importance
Fiona's Radiation DoT mechanic becomes more impactful in Season 1:
- Longer fights against better-geared opponents give Radiation more time to stack
- Her physical damage complements Tesla's energy damage perfectly
- Start collecting shards for her Exclusive Weapon (Season 5) — long-term investment
Squad Maturity
By Season 1, Missile squads have had time to develop:
- Heroes at higher star counts with more skills upgraded
- Gold gear is available for your Missile heroes
- T10 Missile troops provide a significant power jump
- Better coordination with alliance teammates
The Squad: Season 1 Formation
The Season 1 Missile formation is the same as pre-season — Missile squads do not undergo the same level of formation change that Aircraft does with the Murphy Exception:
Hero Investment Order (Season 1)
1. Tesla (First Priority)
Tesla's energy damage is what makes Missiles dangerous:
- Push toward 4 stars for Super Sensory
- Exclusive Weapon when available — massive damage increase
- Tactics skills at Level 40 (ATK and Crit Rate)
- Gun at Level 40 and starting star promotion
2. Fiona (Second Priority)
Fiona's importance grows in Season 1 as fights last longer against better-geared opponents:
- Radiation stacks need time — Fiona thrives in extended fights
- ATK Tactics cards are highest priority — Radiation scales directly off ATK
- Gun at Level 40 after Tesla
- Start collecting shards early for her Exclusive Weapon (Season 5)
3. McGregor (Third Priority)
Front-row secondary DPS:
- Damage skills and survivability
- Gets gear after both carries
4. Swift (Fourth Priority)
Support and utility:
- Focus on squad buff skills
- Functional gear level
5. Adam (Fifth Priority)
Front-line tank:
- Defensive skills and Radar for survivability
- Enough investment to survive the duration of fights
Gold Gear Craft Order (Season 1)
Hero Skills Reference
Each hero has three skills: Auto Attack (basic attack, fires automatically), Tactics (tactical ability), and Passive (always-on bonuses).
Skills Upgrade Priority (Season 1)
The skill priority incorporates Exclusive Weapons and reflects Fiona's rising importance in extended fights:
Playing Missiles in Season 1
Against Aircraft (Your Strength — Now Critical)
This is your primary job in Season 1:
- Actively seek out Aircraft opponents in Alliance Wars and SvS
- Tesla's energy damage bypasses Aircraft defensive stats
- Fiona's Radiation DoT shreds Aircraft tanks who try to outlast you
- You are your alliance's answer to the Aircraft meta — play this role aggressively
Against Tanks (Your Weakness — Still Relevant)
Tanks still counter Missiles:
- Avoid Tank opponents when possible
- In Alliance Wars, let your Aircraft teammates handle Tanks
- If forced to fight Tanks, your burst needs to eliminate their backline before their wall overwhelms you
Alliance Wars
Missile players are the Aircraft hunters in Season 1:
- Coordinate with leadership — know which enemy squads are Aircraft and target them specifically
- Scout before engaging — confirm type matchup before committing troops
- Your value to the alliance increases as more opponents run Aircraft
Preparing for Later Seasons
- Season 5 brings Fiona's Exclusive Weapon and Venom's UR Promotion — Missiles get significantly stronger
- Continue investing in Tesla and Fiona — they remain the core of Missile squads
- The gap between Missiles and Aircraft closes over time — your early investment compounds
- Collect Fiona shards aggressively — her Exclusive Weapon transforms the Missile squad
