Marshal's Guard Guide

Alliance Events · 2026-03-11

What Is Marshal's Guard?

Marshal's Guard is a 30-minute cooperative rally event that occurs every 2-3 days. Your alliance works together to destroy five armoured tanks by launching rallies. Damage accumulates across all rallies, and rewards scale based on your alliance's total damage output and individual contribution.

Most Rewarding Recurring Event

Marshal's Guard is one of the most rewarding recurring events in the game. It runs every 2-3 days with significant resource payouts. Missing it consistently puts you behind players who participate every time.

Event Phases

Marshal's Guard runs in three distinct phases:

Phase 1 — Officer Setup

  • R4 or R5 officers select the difficulty level (1-12)
  • Officers can move the Marshal platform on the map — place it as close to the alliance hive as possible to reduce march time
  • Higher difficulty = more tank HP = better rewards, but only if your alliance can actually clear it

Phase 2 — Preparation

Before the 30-minute battle begins:

  1. Donate construction parts to the Drill Field — this is critical and often overlooked. Donating 500 parts gives a maximum +25% damage bonus to all rallies. You also earn alliance contribution points
  2. Recall all deployed squads 5-10 minutes before the event starts
  3. Position your base near the platform if possible — shorter march time means more rally cycles
  4. Activate War Fever (optional) — scout any enemy base right before the event starts to gain a +1% damage buff. This will remove your shield

Phase 3 — Battle (30 Minutes)

The actual event:

  • Damage is dealt exclusively through rallies — no solo attacks allowed
  • Only 3-minute rallies are available (1-minute rallies cannot be used)
  • Each player can start one rally at a time but can join unlimited rallies
  • The goal is to destroy all five armoured tanks within 30 minutes

Difficulty Selection

LevelCategoryRecommendation
1-3BeginnerEasy clears, good for learning the mechanics
4-6IntermediateBalanced challenge with strong payouts
7-10AdvancedRequires high coordination and strong squads
11-12EliteMarginal reward increase over Level 10. Only attempt with a very strong alliance

Target a difficulty where your alliance can clear all five tanks with 5-10 minutes remaining. This ensures you complete all reward phases without overreaching. Consistent Phase 5 completions are worth more than ambitious failures.

Difficulty Rule of Thumb

If your alliance cannot clear all five tanks, drop the difficulty by 1-2 levels next time. Incomplete clears waste troops and leave the best rewards on the table. Scale up gradually as your alliance grows stronger.

Rally Rotation Strategy

The key to maximising damage is efficient rally cycling. Here is the optimal approach:

The Core Principle

  • Start rallies with your weaker squad — this frees your strongest squad to join other rallies
  • Join rallies with your strongest squad — your best heroes and troops deal the most damage as rally participants
  • If you have a third squad, use it to join whenever available

Rally Rhythm

  1. Members start rallies in staggered 30-second intervals — do not launch all rallies at the same time
  2. Only worry about timing for the first 4-5 minutes to establish a good rhythm
  3. After that, the natural cycle of rallies launching and completing maintains the flow
  4. Everyone joins the shortest available rally timer with their main squad

Rally Priority

Not all rallies are equal. Join in this order:

Rally LeaderDamage Bonus
R5 rally+5% damage bonus — always join these first
R4 rally+2.5% damage bonus — join second
Other officer ralliesStandard bonus — fill these after R5 and R4 rallies
Regular member ralliesNo bonus — join if no officer rallies are available

March Time Management

  • Remove marchers with travel times over 5 minutes — they waste rally slots and arrive too late
  • Position your base near the platform to keep march time short
  • If your base is far away, use a teleport to get closer before the event

Drill Field Donations

The Drill Field is the most overlooked part of Marshal's Guard:

  • Tap the Drill Field and donate construction parts before the event
  • Maximum donation gives a +25% damage bonus to all rallies
  • You earn alliance contribution points for donating
  • Donate as early as possible — the bonus applies to the entire event

Rewards

Alliance Rewards

There are five cumulative reward phases unlocked based on total alliance damage:

  • Each phase adds more rewards on top of the previous one
  • Clearing all five tanks (Phase 5) gives the maximum alliance payout
  • An MVP Multiplier (1x-10x) amplifies payouts for all members based on the highest individual scorer

Individual Thresholds

PointsReward Tier
~3,000Base participation rewards
~10,000Meaningful returns — recommended minimum target
20,000-40,000Top-tier brackets with strong payouts
80,000+Maximum payouts at highest difficulties

Troop Management During the Event

Healing efficiency is critical during the 30-minute window:

  • After each rally, open your hospital and heal troops
  • Keep total healing time at 25-30 minutes — heal just enough to keep your squads operational
  • Request alliance help immediately after queuing heals for faster recovery
  • Do not over-heal — you need troops available for the next rally, not sitting in a healing queue

Hero Formations

Recommended Tank Formation

Williams and Murphy in front. Kimberly, Stetmann, and Tesla in back.

Recommended Aircraft Formation

Lucius and Carlie in front. Morrison, Schuyler, and DVA in back. If the backline is fragile, swap Morrison for Sarah or Marshall.

Recommended Missile Formation

Adam and McGregor in front. Fiona, Tesla, and Swift in back.

Budget / Early Game Formation

Murphy and Violet in front. Kimberly, Mason, and Marshall in back. This works with more accessible heroes while you build toward a full UR lineup.

Marshall the Hero

Marshall is one of the best support heroes for Marshal's Guard. His Command Strategy boosts allied attack universally regardless of formation type. If you have Marshall, put him in the backline of your rally-joining squad. He works at low investment and remains relevant into late game.

Common Marshal's Guard Mistakes

  1. Skipping Drill Field donations — missing up to 25% damage bonus for the entire event
  2. Forgetting to recall troops — squads deployed on gathering or other missions are unavailable for rallies
  3. Starting rallies with your strongest squad — your best squad should join rallies, not lead them. Lead with your weaker squad
  4. Launching 1-minute rallies — they do not work in this event. Only 3-minute rallies are available
  5. Base positioned too far from the platform — long march times waste precious minutes
  6. All rallies launching at once — stagger start times for a consistent flow of rally opportunities
  7. Not healing between rallies — wounded troops sitting in hospital cannot fight. Heal and request help continuously
  8. Overreaching on difficulty — failing to clear all five tanks is worse than clearing them at a lower level

Alliance Leadership Checklist

  1. Before the event: Select difficulty, move the platform near the hive, remind members to donate construction parts
  2. Pre-assign rally leaders — do not waste the first 5 minutes deciding who starts rallies
  3. Remind members: Recall troops, set correct squads, position bases near the platform
  4. During the event: Monitor rally flow, call out if rallies are not being filled quickly enough
  5. Post-event: Review damage numbers, identify improvement areas, adjust difficulty for next time
